Do you ever just sit and think about proper random stuff? My thoughts today were... do worms have faces? What and how to they eat? Do snals have mouths? How to they do the toilet? Do these things lay eggs or not? Lol

Am I weird

I got some online and it's really good. I have a few reservations about how it's harvested though so rethinking.

If you are using it because of the collagen, you can now buy collagen gel online and add vitamin E to it.

From what i know in France, some Spa places actually place 2 or 3 snails on your face (forehead and under both eyes) and let them be for a bit.

Am sure you have a couple of snails from your garden lol. Clean and gently tickle their 'tummy' and they will release slime.

Jeez! Should have thought of that when I was 8, when we were ticking them and letting snails crawl on a piece of paper so it would write the initial of a future boyfriend's name with their slime lol

Some people just have over-developed brains and need to create space in order for them to develop

And their mouth has no teeth as such - they eat with a rasping tongue instead. I'm sure many gardeners will agree this is a surprisingly effective and speedy way to eat plants.

"They are 'hermaphrodite', they have male and female reproductive organs."

I'm not sure for snails, but some slugs (homeless snails ) have a little race/competition/fight at the beginning of mating to try to bite/rasp off the other's male genitals. Whoever wins gets to be the boy for that encounter, which is energetically less expensive than producing the eggs.

"Am sure you have a couple of snails from your garden lol."

Careful with wild snails (and slugs) they are known to carry several diseases transmissible to humans. The ones they use for cosmetics are bred in special sterile environments.

Depends where the cut occurs in relation to the vital organs, often only one half survives and then not always.

Arrggghh! I suppose another thing you can't do these days.

I would say in 'controlled' environment. Snails farms in Chile for instance are every but 'sterile' lol.

When I was young, on a rainy day I used to see lots people going 'à la chasse aux escargots' / snail hunting with their wellies, waterproofs and wooden stick!

I also used to go to the sea on holidays and get wild mussels and wild oysters, something you are now asked not to do because of dangerous bacteria affecting them part of the year!

Such a shame But great memories
