Nah Edinburgh. Every time I'm through in the centre of Glasgow shopping or heading to a party, ask for directions on more than serveral occasions the locals of Glasgow have been condescending and rude about it when hearing my non local accent. I also had a taxi driver attempt to not take to my destination till I told him to do his fucking job, again because of my accent as he was like around my prounounciation of "Govan".
I also lived there as a child as was billed by the ice cream man. He would say my money was fake and take it off me, short change me, give me 20p mixes instead of 50p. He was a cunt.
So I am biased but Glasgow rarely gives me a good experience... |

I would say Glasgow is better for shopping and drinks/nights out but would vote for the people of Edinburgh. Trying to calm some of the hate I'm about to get haha |

"Glasgows full of shite folk. As mentioned and explained above by me lol.
Where's the culture in Glasgow....?
That a tumble ? "
Thats your opinion. The OP is asking wheres best for a night out thats trans friendly.
Being trans and having been out in both numerous times then Glasgow wins hands down. Edinburgh has CC blooms and..... Err CC blooms..
Whearas Glasgow has the Merchant city and numerous trans friendly bars and clubs..... Other Trans folks and people who have trans friends have said much the same....
The OP doesnt care about the demonic mr whippy from childhood, even if he does sound a cunt ![](/icons/s/lol.gif) |

Remember hunni ... the further north you go ... the harder it is to understand the accent .... and this is coming from a Geordie ...
admiitantly I've never been out in Glasgow ... but done Edinburgh a fair few times and as someone in the thread stated ... you have CC blooms ... and then the rest of the bars are down back alleys ... across the other side of the city ... no pink triangle or group of bars ... all spread out and it's a killer when your pissed and in 6 inch heels ..... plus shoot me now Edinburgharians but ya water in old town is yellow!! .... due to lead piping ... that's what I was told anyway when I filled the hot tub in my hotel room and it was pure yellow ... I even rang the Scottish tourist board to check .... but I would far rather go "up" over then "down" our country ... |

Having lived both sides for a considerable amount of time I can safely say Edinburgh is far friendlier. Glasgow has a better rep for a night out but it isn't as friendly as some make out. |
