Reading that yet another American style burger franchise will be opening its inaugural Scottish branch in Glasgow next week.
A basic burger will cost you £12 upwards excluding the traditional extras. The stores USP is you can customise the burger your way from protein to bun.
Would you pay £12 upwards for a what is effectively meat in a bun?
Think I'd rather stick to home made ones or even burger king for that price.

My favourite place shut down, it was a Gourmet burger in a Fast Food Experience.
For the same price as a Big Mac, you could get a great burger which was a lot better than anything from the so-called "gourmet" places.
I once went to one of those places with a pair of friends, that assured me that it was the best burger they'd ever had. I went and the bun was stale tasting, and the burger had no taste to it at all. The burger was fairly lean and for a good burger you need some fat in it.
I give places a try, but more often than not I find them overpriced hype!

That's true. Best burgers we've ever had were in a place called Holstein's in Las Vegas. The burgers (and shakes) are incredible. Haven't had anything that comes close to them over here unfortunately
I should add it's the same for steaks as well. |
