Depends what you are looking for in Pitlochry?
There are some lovely hotels, Atholl Palace hotel is worth a visit whether you are staying there or not, take a walk through the grounds and enjoy some drinks at the bar
Fonab Castle hotel is also nice for a meal and some lovely rooms
as someone previously said, "Blair Athol or Edradour whisky distillerys"
both are worth a visit, obviously you have to drive to Edradour but its a great tour.
There are some nice bars and some rough bars, some a mix of both,
Perth is a half hour drive and amazing walks and scenery all around
I can advise on all of the above and more, I you say specifically what you are looking for.
House of bruar also worth a visit for some shopping, very nice clothing but expensive, then again you pay for quality.
feel free to mail me for more information |

One of my first meets (a different site) was at atholl palace... got the shittiest hottest room ever (above the kitchen) but fuck me it was good fun lol. Our room was right next to a staff room so they knew precisely what we were up to most of the day lol |

We always stop at the free buffet at House of Bruar.
Or the tasting samples as I think they are more probably called! |
