The Meets Section

I know the forums are only a small section of the site but I thought I'd find out what your thoughts were on this.

I'm considering posting something in the Meets section but after having a quick look for today alone there's almost 2 pages worth of meet ads from guys.

So does anyone think that me posting would be worthwhile?

Does anyone check out the Meets section?

Cheers

Depends on what you want to achieve. I check the meets section but I only post social events there.

If I'm hosting an event I'll use the forum and the meets section as not everyone looks at them.

Guys I'm hoping to get some thoughts from experience fabsters so I can make an informed decision on this.

I know I can just go for it but if I do and I get no response or if it puts me in a sort of desperado light then I'd rather not.

There's a woman that pops up on my local updates who puts the same meet request on every single day without fail and it makes me think it's probably a waste of time.

Why not just message someone you're interested in to arrange a meet.

On FabGuys, which uses the same software as this, there is no forum. It's all done through people updating their status, private chatting and using the "meet today" facility.

I find that much more personal and much better than FS where you have to post and hope for the best.

That said, FabGuys is about meeting individuals or small groups, it's not a swinging site.

All the colours of the rainbow. I view it as desperados post others view it as a godsend only you can decide if its right for you.

People use statuses for meets, some us the meet section.

If you've tried the status approach and not had much luck then try the meet section.

It's your profile, your free time. No one can make that decision for you

I have never looked at the meets section. I much prefer chatting to someone for a while and arranging things when we are both free.

I wouldn't want to meet someone just because I had some free time that day, im quite shy and cant see myself jumping straight into meeting someone I just chatted to for an hour or so.

We messaged a single guy of the "meets section" only once. We met a couple of hours later having never spoken before and can honestly say it was a fantastic night.

Other end of the scale we met a single bloke afte chatting and getting on fantastically for over a year and the sex did nothing for any of us.

No right or wrong do what suits you.

If you're looking for a meet, i suppose you could post.

But a post amongs two pages worth, difficult to be noticed unless your topic title is specific..

Or his thinking is probably it might be easier to get a meet if u make a forum thread about the topic..

Ive looked once or twice and wondered if anyone ever does get a meet from their posting.

If you are going to post consider carefully what you write. In my opinion those that say they will meet anyone/anything come across as desperate.

Good luck.

You can post a meet for a date weeks ahead which should be loads of time to chat.

I'm way to busy to meet anyone the same day.
