I'm contemplating making some sex toys and thought it would be an idea to post here and ask for people's opinions and ideas, what u wish u could change about your butt plugs , cock rings etc.
I know I couldn't compete with China on the mass produced genearal size cheap rubber, plastic stuff but that wouldn't be the market I would be looking at entering.
I'm thinking stainless steel,brass quality custom size stuff. I know when we've bought items in the past we have discussed ways things could have been better made, the size isn't right for overall comfort or the quality just isn't there.
So if our fellow fabbers would like to add your opinions, past experiences good or bad that would be greatly appreciated.  x |

Well are you going to mass produce or just make to order?
What materials are you going to use?
Silicone, metal, glass. All have different manufacturing techniques which would take time and money to invest in depending what you want.

I would be mainly using stainless steel, but really any metal or plastic the customer requires with the exception of gold etc lol.
I would be making to order ie if the customer is looking for a cock ring that they can't buy off the shelf in the size they are looking for be it diameter or thickness. |

Surgical stainless steel 316 is what I would be using. Me saying brass etc was me just really spit balling. |

B has a CNC machine in the garage that he has used to make cock rings.
You need to be very careful with the metal ones as once its on and if its tight fitting it can be painful to get off. (cold water and plenty liquid soap helps).
The problem with surgical steel is the cost. A billet lump will cost a fair bit and then you have to machine it down.
Casting is another way but then you need a cupola for meting the steel.
All starts getting a bit Fred Dibnagh very quickly lol

Nothing wrong with Stainless Steel . . the vast majority of surgical equipment was made from it. . then they developed surgical steel which is lighter and when made into a scalpel etc,retains an extremely sharp blade |
