Anyone ever taken the hump with you when chatting?

It's a shame how some people can take the hump with you and it can be over nothing. It's happened several times to me not only on this site but others although It's rare. For instance I was chatting to a lady once on a site and we exchanged mobile numbers & I said I was going to call her. But then someone else had sent me a message and it was someone who I had been chatting to for several months & hadn't got round to meeting. I politely asked if it was ok if we possibly postponed the phone call as I didn't want to ignore the other person as they clearly knew I was online. She said it cool and that was pretty much it. I eventually text her the next day just to be nice and ask her how she was doing but she all I got was an accusation that I had been rude and that she didn't want to continue speaking to me. I said It's up to herself but I thought she was being a little over sensitive. After all I had know the other person longer & do tend to prioritise people who I've been in contact with longer. Not only that but I had chatted to the lady for a fair while online. I didn't even have to text her the following day. A shame really because I thought it might be nice if we eventually met and we might hit it off & have a good time together. Anyone else ever have any similar experiences? |

As with all forms of e-communication it is very easy to misinterpret what someone means. Most of our communication comes through non-verbals and when they're missing all sorts can get picked up wrongly.
Last one to take a very serious hump with me was a woman I told "You look good enough to eat." Even when I tried to explain it's a compliment she claimed never to have heard anyone say it and that I was implying something derogatory. You just can't win sometimes. |

She'd have had to have been living on a deserted Island not to have heard that expression. |

this happens all the time for me, mostly single guys that get annoyed if i cant meet them as soon as they want. i dont care too much as theres are loads of other fun folk on here, so i can just block and ignore if i choose.
also if i meet and others feel they shouldve been 'higher on the list' lol! a bit silly at times but thats just how it goes i suppose!

" What i truely dont get with my fellow single guy is,most seem to sit on the edge of their seats, primed like sexual springs waiting for an insta-meet, yet when you ping them an invite to a group meet or something similar, these sexual springs are actually not on the edge of their seats ready to have a wild time, suddenly they need "ohh at least a weeks notice mate" and sadly "no petrol in the car"etc etc etc, hmmmmm . |

Sorry, kinda off subject, crossed wires with anyone in chat? Yup and it escalated, was in a pvt chat, never noticed a hello from another cpl i had been chatting to via messages earlier in the week and they systematically went about sharing with all present in chatroom the possible reasons for my delayed "hello",sat watching the hype peak to a daft level, leaft shaking my head at it all. |

Ooft! As many may vouch, I must be QueenB with taking the 'hump' on Fab. I have high expectations and find it hard going to tolerate the fools who seem to dominate the site. Did I mention I was a tad cynical too? lol x |
