Broken iphone- HELP?

Hey calling anyone pretty smart with phones, namely iphones.

Just for perspective I have an iphone 5s, its second hand but in perfect physically condition. Never had an issue.

Last night I had nearly fully battery, I went to sleep and now the phone is just a blank screen?

Why would a phone BREAK WHEN YOU DID NOTHING TO IT? Like really any advice before a poor apple employ has his day ruined would be much appreciated by us both.

Try and reset it- hold the home and on/off button down together to reset it.

Sounds like what happened to mine, took it to the shop and they said the battery was fucked, couple of hundred to replace as far as I remember. Sorry, maybe some expert will give you more useful advice

"Try and reset it- hold the home and on/off button down together to reset it. "

It didn't reset the phone but the wee apple logo flashed up and it took 30 seconds, now it works.

Myself and an unknown apple employee thanks your from the bottom on our hearts

Yes- should have been clearer- doesn't reset the settings or memory but forces a restart.

Glad that it worked.

It cures 95% of iPhone faults and is usually the first thing apple tell you to do

Well done that lady

This happened to me and holding home button and on/off worked too. Apparently most common cause is over charging. So leaving it on over night it says ur best waiting til battery is at 5% to charge and then charge to full as it help the battery last longer x

Check Apples site for recalls. My 5S had a new battery and power button done FOC because of known issues.

My 6S needs booked in for battery issues too.

If it's in warranty take it to the genius and they will expertly hand over a new phone rather than look at what might be wrong with the one you have
