Agreed. Look I'm not anti-English, I am genuinely not however had he been born down south he would have been pushed so much harder by the media and rewarded much much better financially for what is and has been a brilliant career.

Fingers crossed as the boy he's up against isn't a push over

I honestly think your wrong. Boxing was huge unfortunatly ricky entered the scene when the game was and is in decline.

Pahaha, mate really come on now. The heavyweight division is the one in decline as in the standards. The divisions around Ricky are on fire.

Ricky is a three weight WC, three! Yet Anthony crolla, James degale, George groves, billy J Saunders and also Kell Brooke have all had a short career than Ricky and get more PR from boxing press. Cmon man x

I love boxing so I am a fan im not talking about quality of the sport itself more the revenue streams that are available. The dire heavyweight division is a big part of the problem but not the only one. The emergance of other contact sports taking a huge slice of the market is boxings biggest problem as I said im a huge boxing fan but I now prefer mma matches.

I love the sport too dude, the worry for me as a fan is the UFC and Boxing combination of McGregor and Mayweather. I think if that happens it could be the death of boxing. The growing popularity of the UFC and revenues it's making at times is scary

as much as I want to see it I really dont its such an unfair fight. Nothing more than a cash generating excercise and it will harm both sports. Boxing really needs a revamp. Theres also the bareknuckle championship gaining legality in alot of places and gaining support.

I don't think I could watch bare knuckle fighting. I'm too soft for that

Bareknuckle fighting will never become a popular legal sport for some strange reason it's deemed far to unsafe

I'm an ex boxer and have fought bare knuckle and unlicensed boxing matches

love the hype around the UFC just don't see it being as big as boxing

The longer tonight's fight goes on the stronger Ricky will be, he is traditionally a slow starter but will dictate from the 6th on

Did I say he was going to win.

i said Ricky is normally a slow starter but comes good usually after the 6th.

If you've been following the pre fight hype you would realise Ricky was fighting the unknown last night. This guy had not fought outside Namibia and there are very little vids of him to study except his last fight which lasted less than 40 secs.

Ricky had a fight plan however this guy was better than anyone predicted it happens
