Do it. It's amazing. I never had any notion for them at all, liked them and appreciated them but never the desire to ride.

Bought a 125 cruiser as a cheap and quick way to commute and never looked back. Harley (see what I did there) ever use my car these days and ride all year no matter the weather.

'Tis fookin' great!

I,ve nothing againest biker who drive there bike throughout the year. But the ones that keep saying piss like your no a real biker what the hell am i !!!!!

I know want i am a lucky bugger that has a bike and car.my bike is my toy iand i enjoy it when the weather is nice, so shot me if am a fair weather biker i,v been called alot worse,

Pulling yer leg son, it's banter. Calm doon. But aye, yer a pussy if you don't ride all year

From my personal point of view I see no point spending 000s on a high end bike to then have it parked up for 6-8 months of the year waiting on the few decent days we get (certainly up here in the land of Scotch). Just get the togs on, get your mates, club whatever and get out for a run or have a cheap and quicker commute. It's mostly mind over matter. Really not that bad in all weathers. Vision is the biggest problem I have as I don't wear full face and rely on goggles/ glasses. So in heavy rain, although toasty enough, steamy specs are my only bug bear.

Ride safe

Net went dodgy there!!!!!

I'm originally from Central Scotland, I now live 200 metres away from Ballaugh bridge on the IoM TT course, I'm only at home for 4 months of the year, I own a Fireblade, a VFR800, a CBR600 race bike, a CBR4000 race bike, a DRZ400E and a Keen Badboy 125 mini bike. If I Open the garage door and its pissing down, I pick up my car keys! I get no pleasure out of riding in cold wet and miserable weather and you can't ride with any real pace. Oh! And you can fit a lot more Easter eggs into a car! But I guess with biking since I was 6, racing, and owning the bikes I have now, I apparently can't be a real biker until I've dug one out from under a snowdrift! ????????

I hear ya bro.

Riding since i could walk. Owned every genre of bike you can get at one time or another. Used to be my only mode of transport all year round.

Not for riding in shitty weather when i have a car sitting there lol.

I have a healthy respect for all things two wheels and the people who own them.

But some of the snobby attitudes aint part of the life.

Must be a modern attitude.

Yeh. Some is banter.

But i know a few guys who i call.

"Coffee table bikers"

"I got a hyabusa with dynojet and turbo n puts oot 300 bhp"

Couldny ride their wives into sunday morning and sneer at learners and cruisers or anything that doesnt fit their criteria of a biker. No time for the younger new bikers with help or advice.

My work is full of them.

Fuck off! Lol

I do have friends, not many. But that disproves your theory pmsl.

It just annoys me sometimes when you hear nothing but poor coments and attitude from bikers towards other biking brothers. They must be watching too many 60's biker movies lol

Or blast past you on a straight only to be hard on the brakes as they get their line wrong and end up tip-toe-ing round a bend.

I don't mind the rain when I'm out already but would never go out if it's pissing down. Plus I love my bikes to much to get them wet on purpose lol
