"And some women wonder why they get stick on here sometimes...
Do they?"
Yes, they do. Please refer to the multiple forum threads on it if you need clarification. |

"I just blocked someone for saying my ass was eatable instead of edible.
Anyone else a pedantic sod like me?" Nope I dont sweat the small things that.
Bit harsh to block I think but thats your choice |

I do notice grammar and spelling but if the rest of the chat is good I don't care.
If a woman is up her own edible arse then a block is deserving.
If a woman makes some minor mistakes while chatting that's no big deal for me. |

Eatable is a perfectly valid word. A bit obscure to use it here and a bit out of context but totally harsh. |

I think it is harsh!
According to Google and my English teachers both words are valid depending on what you want to emphasise on!
Edible is safe to eat, like some mushrooms are edible. Emphasis on safety, not poisonous...
Eatable, emphasis on taste and palatable food, good to eat...
So... that's a spelling I would use!
One also needs to remember that there are people for whom English is not their first language!
Ps: feel free to remind me the coreect use of 'whom' if I messed up above lol
Anyway OP, it is your prerogative to block whoever you wish for whatever reasons you wish!

Its not something I would block for but I do sometimes find myself giving daft reasons not to reply because the site leaves me a bit deflated at times with the amount of crap conversations! |

"Me!!! *Waves*
I HATE youse/yous/use!"
STRONGERLY AGREE.
I take it maybe a sort further and if a woman's met a guy that has stupidly bad grammar or soelling I don't meet them. I take it as a reflection of them lol.
That may seem harsh but well basically what happens to men lol.
So yes ladies standards to need maintained |

I'm the male half of the couple and I will fully admit my spelling and grammar are shocking but I am not ashamed in the slightest. I'm 30 years old in a stable very well paid job that has allowed myself and my family to own our own home 2 cars and a motorbike for my own toy and also various holidays a year. When we meet someone on here I look more for personality and if we can get along because after all we are not in this to sit and write each other letters are we. I can string a sentence together and can hold very intelligent conversation and I think a lot of people loose track of what this site is all about. Who cares if someone isn't very good at spelling or grammar they might just be the nicest person you ever met. Has the op ever thought that some of the people she blocks might actually be dyslexic and not be able to help it. Everyone has the right to choose who they do or don't meet but I think a lot of people think they are better than others. Would the op think it was fair if someone blocked her because she wasn't as good at maths as they were, just seems a tad excessive to me. |
