My mind worked overtime yesterday.......

Was heading down to Helensburgh for a job interview, went into the Retail Park in Bishopbriggs firstly to buy a drink and a quick sandwich from M&S,

Saw a lady standing outside...around late 30's early 40's maybe older can never judge ages.....

Dressed in denim dress split up to her thigh and cut enough to catch an eyeful of a cracking cleavage. I passed her as I went into M&S and she was still standing around when I came out.....sat in the car for about 10 mins watching and nobody appeared.....

Now if I wasn't going to a job interview I would have casually approached and made small talk regarding being stood up by a head fucking timewaster........but time was of the essence.....

So if there was a lady on Fab....standing outside M&S in Bishy Retail Park around 12-12:30 yesterday....I hope he/they turned up as you looked extremely pissed.......

I would have definitely volunteered to take their place in a heartbeat,,,,

Boots corner in Glasgow used to be the place of choice for meeting ladies whose date for the evening had given her a dizzy.

Watch from a safe distance till she's checked her watch for the 3rd time then give her your best line.

I believe Binns at the West End fulfilled a similar function for Embra' folks.

When you've been on this site long enough

People hanging around nervously looking at watches and obviously waiting on someone who hasn't appeared play tricks with your mind..

Your always asking yourself the same thing

"I bet she is a swinger thats been stood up"

I still think of it as Binns (and I won't do the joke about buying bra's in Binns and being worried that they clank when you walk).

I don't remember being in Patrick Thompsons but I know where it was.

I still think of the Pizza Hut/ Woolworths building on Argyle Street, Glasgow as Arnotts and I remember Trerons on Suckmahole Street.

On a serious note - when did Binns shut? 25-30 years ago?

Apologies for hijacking this thread, but I have to confess to having done business with Patrick Thomsons!! I left school at 13!!
