Very fond of the occasional pork and apple banger but greatly enjoyed a sliced sausage breakfast roll (with ingins) in the company of Mr Nichts earlier today.

Merguez is a red, spicy mutton or beef-based fresh sausage from North African cuisine. You can find it with dishes like Couscous.

If you go to France defo worth a try!

No, Chorizo is a cured, smoked, pork and paprika sausage that can be eaten without cooking it.

Merguez have to be cooked same as other sausages. (spices are chili pepper or harissa)

This one is safe to google lol

Crombies in Edinburgh used to do a Merguez, but it's been a few years since I last went.

My fave has to be a good Cumberland, with plenty of pepper in it.

However my nearest butcher often does special ones that I will always give a try, and their award winning ones from a year back (Steak and Blue Cheese) are brill.

They are nice, but the first time I got them I didn't know there was cheese in them, so cut out the "Gooey" bit.
