I am recovering from a broken ankle, moonboot still fitted but once off, I need to get back into walking.
I will take things easy at first, some of the more easy climbs on the drumochter pass
A' Mharconaich and Geal Charn are not to difficult, good paths and fantastic views
If anyone wants to accompany me I can assure I wont hold you back, just have to take a slower pace until fully mended |

We do a lot of outdoors stuff, hillwalking, hiking, wild camping ect. Love winter hiking as well.
We also are mushroom and herb collectors.
Problem mostly is finding couples with similar interests that want to do similar interests to get to know each other.
(Scheduling is also a big problem to be fair)
So in short yes we are and then some.

I Go Hillwalking when I can and it works out as a small business for me.
Always good to have people with me, I like a good laugh and banter on a walk.
I might get better replies, mines are crap lol

"I've posted about this before. I'm enjoying hill walking, but often do it alone as i like to go early morning.... Before the crowds " prefer walking on my own I mostly walk to contemplate things and the distraction of others would waste my experience mostly.this isnt to say its the ops motive but some want a sexual format to things instead of the joy of "being" that walking can bring. |

Love heading out to the hills myself. Where I stay is pretty good , right on the edge of country so always out. Done quite a few munros last year, my fave was (excuse my spelling) buchaille major or buchaille as many call it, right beside the king's house in glencoe. Exellent day out if you get the weather, though defo need to be prepared as the weather changes rapidly

Although many of us walk alone, it should not be advised in the mountains, a situation could occur, bad health, trip or fall and lack of mobile phone reception could cause a problem, we are all getting older and although we all think we are in great shape, caution should be high on the list |

What would be your advice for someone starting out hill walking? Where's best to go, decent climb with amazing views?
Maybe a wee bit cover for a mid hike fumble... |

'Glen Doll' is not to far from you, its a good 2 mile hike and lovely relaxed views and a clear path. Also 'Glen Clova' and 'Green Hill' and last but certainly not least theres 'Broomhill'
they are all about 2 mile hikes, relaxed pathways and good views |

It all depends where you stay and where your able to travel to.
There's a few decent Web pages that tell you the ratings of some the "graham's and munros" of how difficult a climb there are, they suggest the best ones for beginners n so on.
One thing I've learnt though , plenty water , puri tablets, clothing (even in summer) and a first aid kit are always essential |

I love a good wander in the hills. I've spent a while working guiding folk around hills, summer and winter, but still find myself returning for rest and relaxation.
Perhaps a Fab hill walk is in order? Any takers?

"Unfortunately midgies always spoil it "
Midgies.....scourge of Scottish Tourism...bast**d and hell insect.
However, if you do go out in a group there will be one person who will ultimately end up the sacrificial lamb so to speak lol lol
They will hone in on them and the rest of you will be okay.
I've see grown men cry when they attack. |

Done a couple of the cuillin mountains on Skye! As I live here, would recommend folk give Skye a visit and do a cuillin!
I'd be happy to tag along as a guide and show you some great pubs to stop off in for a pint/whisky/gin! |

Windy day for walking yesterday, regardless of the clothing a good hundred or more walked up Ben Lomond. Kudos to the Mum carrying her bairn all the way up on a back carrier...
The new camp site at Loch Chon looks good. |

Definitely need to get out walking more. Got the boots, the jacket, the hat, just need some of that time stuff!
If anyone is planning on getting out for a walk and fancies some company, let me know. |
