Gota say it wasn't at the top of my list of places to go but it's actually surprised me. Its not nearly as strict as it's made out to be. It's actually got a few amazing night spots, its clean and feels extremely safe.
The whole concept of dubai is that it is a more liberal state in the middle east making it easier for trade ect...
I guess what I've found is the good old adage of never judge a book by its cover really applies. |

I was in dubai last year....my brother got married there.
Its boring the day...full of tourists....nightime is a different story. The best way is to get a local resident to show the "good clubs"...everything is available-drugs, alcohol, women/men etc etc
However, the place lacks character, im in no rush to visit....the transit in the airport is enough for me now. |

I've had more sexual adventures in the Middle East than I have in Middle Scotland lol. Amazing place and lots of great memories made there. Favourite place in the world. |

But late but if you want laid in Dubai just go to a bar. All the expats hang out there and they're all horny as fuck. It's probably one of the easiest places to get casual sex.
Seeing some harsh judgement in here but these 'horror stories' you see in British media are total lies. Last one I saw a Scottish couple got arrested for hugging they says. The reality was they were d*unk and fucking each other on a public beach. The police asked them to stop, the couple ignored them so they got arrested. They are not out to get foreigners but some tourists act like arseholes and they deserve to be treated that way. |

You would be surprised what goes on in Dubai if your with the right company and go to the right places, just like any other part of the world even Dubai has its sexual deviants.

I'm always amazed at people's perceptions of life in Dubai. Anyone who has spent any time here will tell you that pretty much anything goes, as long as you do it sensibly within the expat community. And because the expat community is huge....... |

Was in Abu Dhabi last month and the nightlife is wild. For a place that "oppresses" women they sure make up for it having ladies nights almost everyday of the week. Btw brunch is a growing culture where you pay a set price for all you can eat and drink. Don't knock the place until you have been there. |

It would appear perhaps the negative comments are down people that hasn't been or been and not ventured .
Very safe place , loads to do
Great bars and area
It's a very liberated place
If you ask locals in hotels they know where to go but won't tell you
I pass through there a few times a year as well as take a vacation there every other year
Just a few weeks ago I was sitting there in the sun enjoying beers from afternoon into the night watching the Dubai tennis open.

Dubai looks sterile and boring on the surface however as it's made up of mainly expats then it's about knowing where to go and what to do.
Visited here regularly with work and didn't really get the feel of it but now I've relocated here can say I'm having tons of fun both in and out of the bedroom. More going on that first meets the eye... |

Hi guys.
Glad to see the chat has changed direction on this feed. I'm back in Dubai this week. Does anyone have any tips on specific bars that are good or some of the insider knowledge they would like to share with me?
I really don't want to spend the week sitting in the hotel and bars where all the women are "working" not that they don't provide good chat but it's just not my thing.

You'd be or may not be surprised how many guys actually wouldn't mind having a beer with another guy to escape their hotels and sit and watch what goes on in the hotel bars etc.
Many don't want to appear sleezy or creepy.....
