Usually a brief introduction about yourself that is not just cut and pasted from your profile, a bit of a personal touch by including something about the person you are messaging(something that caught your eye on their profile other than the pics).
On the whole a polite message that can give an insight about who you are as a person works for me.

I agree with above.....short bio, then show you read the lady's profile by commenting on stuff that stands out for you....
MASSAGES.......I spent years learning Tantric and Yoni massage and even offered to do them on here......

where'd u learn that? ive been lookin at doin that for ages, but the place i have been lookin at is in spain

making sure u have read profile and u fit what the person is looking for, i get fed up of messages just saying hi, hiya hi hows u ....
i also get a few mail saying would love to meet u are u free etc... i dont have a face pic on my profile and i wouldnt meet someone who i hadnt seen... so maybe a wee reason why u are mailing them... poss meet etc

read the profile, see what the lady is looking for, see if you fit he bill first, then write a little about you, enclose a pic if requested in her profile and be polite. Manners cost nothing and you are more likely to get a reply if a polite message rather than a 'hi'. |

Dyou remember "Blind date", one woman having to pick one of three guys to meet?
And in a very short space of time she had to decide who of the three might be ok?
Bit like that on here,(i know its not dating) but she/they have three,,hundred+ to decide who might be fun to reply to, never mind meet!  |
