The Newsroom is by Aaron Sorkin (of West Wing fame) and is cracking
The Last Kingdom - though a wee bit gory from time to time
The Blacklist is really good, and Timeless has a good plot and premise, though a bloody awful script at times.
The Man in the High Castle and The Saboteurs are both supposed to be very good, as is Deutschland 83 - if you fancy something European rather than American.
Talking of which, The Americans is brilliant... |

Blacklist... sleepy hollow... man in the high castle. All excellent suggestions. And if you were like me and until a few months back had never watched any of the walking dead or game of thrones then they are excellent too. |

Legend with Sean bean is good
Quantico is another...and one that I'm half way through is lucky man by stan Lee which I am liking |

spectacular child cast, great story...not too many episodes in this 1st season."
good call paddy, watched the first 8 episodes, its well worth it
