I joined at the beginning of December and I've got my weigh in tomorrow so I'm hoping to have lost my first stone!
I love slimming world, I don't know why I didn't do it years ago. I'm never hungry and the variety of food is amazing! I'd recommend it to anyone! Good luck! K |

I tried it a couple of years ago after wanting a change from weightwatchers. I loved the idea that carbs were less restricted than w/w, but it didn't really work for me |

I did it a couple of years ago and lost almost two stone. Put a lot of it back on so recently returned. Also convinced Hubby to come along as he's been complaining of a belly developing. I love it, I've tried a few different things like atkins, weight watchers, and rosemaryconley. Slimming world has been the only plan that's worked for me that hasn't had me feeling hungry all day. Recommend it to everyone |

To fonzie and OP. I went along to classes before switching to online because of time restraints. Online was more tricky to stick to and understand, for me anyway. Look out for free membership offers in the paper and Bella magazine. It's usually £10,then you pay £4.95 for each class. Go to a couple, or even one to have the concept explained and an opportunity to get some face to face advice and tips. From there you can do it on your own or online. But having it explained by someone experienced is definitely beneficial |

"Thanks for the info and good luck messages, we have both decided to go to one of our local classes and see how we get on L&J "
Best of luck! We love it, preparing in advance can be time consuming but once you get the hang of it and prep meals in larger portions and freeze where possible makes it easier |

I'd say meetings.
A lady friend of mine, now deceased and for most of the time that she attended had serious mobility issues and was on oxygen 24/7, enjoyed the social aspect of it. Also, being weighed each week meant a bit of motivation, and also competition.
She lost almost 5 stone, all through diet, and when she was with me, could fairly tuck into her grub! |

Well that's my first stone (plus another lb and a half) off.
I started at the beginning of December so I'm really pleased. Took me a wee bit longer than normal as I put 2lbs on over Christmas lol!
It's such a great plan! |

Recommend it to anyone. Go to group, everyone is so welcoming and you don't feel daft cos you're a guy. I'm a member and have lost a load of weight and reduced my clothes sizes. Feel loads better and I'm never hungry. Everyone tells me I look younger and better which is always nice. |

I joined online but I'm not sure about Syns. Should I have a set amount of syns personal to me or is it the same amount of syns for everyone regardless?

yes it is 15 syns for a woman, and 25 for a man, i lost weight at SW, and would definitely say go to SW, its helped me in the latter part of last year, although I have been away after surgery, I will definitely go back to it soon though |

Doll x" normally 15 syns though if you are larger you get more syns and they reduce as you loose |
