my instructor took a stroke 2 weeks before mine - meant new car , new instructor. nervous as hell on day and during the test had a car do a sudden u-turn in front of me with no indication at all. i hit the breaks so hard the examiner hit the dash with his head before he could hit it with his clipboard lol needless to say i passed the emergency stop. also passed it first time.
my sis on other hand run into the back of a bus about 300yds from the examining centre lol failed !!! hehe and never let her forget it.
just think of it as another lesson and try not stress out too much and you should be fine
ps. good luck |

Agree with the advice, keep calm, dont let it phase you!
When I had to do an emergency stop,I didnt move my foot far across enough to miss the accelorater, so as I hit the brake the gas went down too, engine revving at 9000rpm, really loud(that wil teach me to have size 12 feet!!)
Thankfully examiner said it was OK! |

I was warned if I got a certain examiner I would fail as he always failed guys on their 1st test. I got him and he failed me and made stuff up I was supposed to have done. Like when he made me take a left then a right across two lanes of traffic and said that the guy who flashe dand let me across then passed me "revving his engine to express anger at [me] not showing due consideration to him." Or making me do another emergency stop after I had to do one for real when someone came out of a side street in front of me. And I was failed for not indicating left whilst parallel parking, which you shouldn't do! |

Good luck when it comes.
I was a nervous wreck through mine and could not settle and when it came to doing my emergency stop, I knew I had failed it, and due to that I relaxed and did the rest of the test with no fear and drove perfectly.
On the last leg of the test, someone pulled out on me and I did a perfect stop, which earned me my pass, which the examiner informed me was how I should have done it first time. |
