Hey Guys
I'm currently planning a tour up north for the end of January, it's something I've always said ile do and now I have the opportunity.
My plan is going up to Inverness and follow the coast all the way back round to Glasgow, I'm looking for suggestions that I can visit on the way as I'm planning to spend a couple of weeks traveling.
So if anyone knows of any hidden scenic treasures or just must see location that I can add to my planner I'd be most grateful .
All the Best
Andy

Oban is lovely, nice seafood restaurants and you can take a boat to see the wild life (whales, porpoises, red deer, sea eagle etc) from the boat.
Delicious homemade ice-cream shop too, and a couple of nice little art galleries.
Have fun OP |

There's brilliant botanic gardens at Poolewe top of loch Marie. Well worth a visit. As is invarary tho its literally a 1 street village. If you're Inverness direction take a jaunt along the north side of the Firth of Moray tge black isle abd look out for the clootie well. |

Don't the porpoises eat the deer if they are in the water ? |

Head over the rest and be thankful to Inveraray then down to tarbert and kennacraig where you can catch the ferry to Islay and Jura then head up to Oban where you can catch the ferry to Mull and Iona or Tiree, Colonsay and Coll.
Beautiful part of the country. |

"Head north of Inverness to dornoch
Stunning views
Can cut across country to ullapool
Water taxi into gareloch from there
Nice wee place"
Dornoch is the furthest north I have been so far was thinking upto wick then john o Groats then swinging round to the west coast. Been told there are some fantastic beaches and amazing scenery.
Although end of January may not be the best idea for beaches lol.

Should defenetly do it, I've been saying for years now I was going to do this and now I am finally getting the chance.
Planning on similar route to NC 500 but continuing down west coast instead of circling back to Inverness .
