For me, Christmas, this year...

... has meant?
Christmas means something for each person, and everyone has a different reasons.
But for you, what has Christmas meant to you?
For me this year it has mostly meant Remembrance. This year more than any, the consumerism has really got to me, and I can't help but think about people who are no longer part of my life.
Although I wasn't that close to him I find myself continually thinking about my dad. He was there for all my life, just I was always closer to my mum. I also find myself remembering old family traditions and habits.
It sounds a little bad, but each year my Uncle would be passed out from drinking by 11am, and at night he would always take a pee out the back door, even if the toilet was empty.
So back to the original point - What has Christmas meant to you this year?

Pretty much the same as you Mandy .
Christmas has always been a family time for me,little did I know that this time last year my dinner table would have one less family member sitting there.
Draw your family ever closer because no one knows how things might change from one Christmas to the next xxx |

Christmas doesn't mean that much to me now. Hasn't for a few years but it is getting better. C is helping me overcome the dread and dark clouds that follow me at this time of year. And for that I am extremely lucky and blessed. |

The lead up to Christmas has been varied...the Christmas social was a definite high point, but other events have put a bit of a dampner on the festivities.
However, I'm not one to let that get me down, can't change it now, of course, and spending yesterday with my daughter was more than I could've ever wished for.
I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.
All my love

Unfortunately Christmas this year has been a bad one. Difficult losing a family member at this time of year.
Normally it's family and playing with the nieces and nephews as with no kids of my own I'm still a big kid at heart. Love mecanno and Lego
However this year has had a different feel for obvious reasons. Not felt like Christmas at all. |

A world of my own |
Christmas is a funny time for many reasons. Ive lost so many special people in my life. I'm truly blessed to have my boys though. I long for family and that special someone however it is what it is. It's not felt like Christmas at all. However I'm thankful for friends, kind hearts and moments that make us all smile.
