The castle and malt whisky trail runs through Aberdeenshire, Moray and Speyside if you are into castles and/or whisky. Amazing scenery. We speak Doric in Aberdeenshire even the rest of Scotland can't understand us haha

Brighton - even Hove!

Thanks - some helpful posts. I was trying to speak in the local dialect. I apologise if it was unintelligible.

I thought up to Edinburgh, up to Thurso and Wick via Inverness across to Durness and Cape Wrath and down the west coast via Ullapool then Fort William and back down south.

You should try and do Ardnamurchan and some of the Islands too.... like Skye and Mul....

Awww bless yer wee English socks Steve, there's no such thing as a single Scots dialect. Just come and be welcome, be yourself and ffs DON'T try and "speak Scottish". Enjoy the scenery, the food, the history, the people, the weather... ok maybe NOT the weather but just relax and have fun.

Hi that's a great drive, I'm a coach driver and did it in reverse starting in Glasgow.

Enjoy your visit.

Midges are a curse, it's true, so either come early June or stay away from wild countryside and avoid Kinlochleven.

I'd stick my neck out and say make the very north a quick trip, or at lead, aim for a target for a couple of days, visit Skye, Mull and Iona,Kilmartin to get a taste of history, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness for cities. You'll not be short of places to go.
