Not much happening Edinburgh way at the moment so I thought I would ask how you guys would feel about the following:
Social drinks - in a Pub
(Public, so good behaviour )

Friday 3rd February'17
8pm
Social meet up in a pub for few drinks and chat with like minded people. And a chance for newbies to get verified.

It's nothing fancy, social meet up in a pub to get a few fabbers together so if folks want to meet up before it's cool.

Great idea Nawty, wish I could go, but it's one of those situations where it's too close and too far away.
Too close to get a hotel. and too far away to get a taxi home afterwards. Besides if I were to go it would be in drab/male mode.

I have heard back from a Venue and they have booked a few tables for us. I just have to confirm numbers in January.
Friday 3rd February at 8pm
That gives us a reserved area to meet up and start the evening. But also see who's who, have a couple drinks and then once we know who we all are, to avoid embarrassing moments lol, we can move on to another place to catch the Irish crowd if we want to
As I am alone organising this and it is my first time it is going be simple old fashion getting people together, have a drink, chat and go with the flow.
So, anyone up for that?

Socials are a good way to meet and get to know people and as it's Edinburgh, it's not as if you'd be stuck finding somewhere else if it was too much for you.
