Ok i know how folk feel on this subject but why do folk feel the need to do that for?
True theres folk that can be nasty but if that person knows your not that type why cant they just be honest instead of thinking youll get the hint?
Someone i spent months talking too and planned to meet suddenly done this and just noticed them back of fab after ghosting me no warning that they wernt interested yeah im blocked but hey it is how it is no moaning as such lol just dont get why folk do it i just prefer honesty especially as they didnt come across the type  |

Yeah that i get obv but they were defo interested the person in question was planning on meeting we were arranging it and then boom blocked on everything was even off fab for months till now so just find it rather strange |

I have moved on kola i just noticed them back after dissapearing for months and we spoke the most on whatsapp or txts etc she wasnt always on fab and right up to then she never gave any hint she was bored infact she said she was dying to meet me but hey her choice |

Real Life perhaps got in the way it happens, people leave cut contact for reasons only they know.
As you said it's months later you have apparently moved on so leave the past in the past no point going over it in your head all over again. Bottom line she clearly wasn't as keen to meet as you thought x |

That's the problem on here though - people think they're owed an explanation and sorry to be blunt but we're not. I always tell people when I'm happy to chat but not interested in meeting/playing, but not everyone does.
Sometimes people don't want to be asked why because they don't like to hurt people's feelings. Whenever I've been asked I just say they're not my type, that covers a variety of reasons and feelings aren't hurt. |

I don't get all the complaints about not getting a reply to an initial message but I think if you've been chatting to someone for a while then the decent thing to do would be to at least send a quick message saying 'sorry, this isn't working out' or something similar. Even if you block them immediately afterwards at least you've given some sort of closure. Maybe I'm being old fashioned here but it's the civil thing to do imho. |

Therein lies a problem . Many on here are incapable of civility . They'll protest their innocence etc but some on here have manners that beggar belief and as my wee maw says "manners cost nothing"   |

I assume most folk ghost someone as sending a message to say your not interested is hard. I personally hate it as I'd prefer the certainty of knowing rather than the slow death of hope. |

It's a shame that some genuine folk suffer for the sins of others. I have found it easier to block sometimes as very often a polite no thanks is followed by "why, what's wrong with me" "can we continue to chat" "am I not your type" and various other pointless ping pong mails... one memorable message was "can't you just fit me in"... I won't tell you my reply but I didn't pull any punches before blocking... |

Get used to it as it happens A LOT on here!
I'd say probably 70% of all my messaging on here consists of one or a few nights of chatting n then I won't hear back from them for whatever reason......changed their mind/are no longer d*unk n lots of other reasons it's pointless to think about.
Will hold my hand up n admit to doing it myself on occasion.
Don't see what all the fuss is about really,if folk can't handle it n get all precious about being ignored then they're in the wrong place! |

Honestly folk just take these threads and run with it i never said it was someone i was only talking to on here it moved away from here spoke for months by txt calls whatsapp etc friendship built up as well as wanting to meet up then one day nothing infact until i got blocked on whatsapp i actually i thought something had happened to her cos she just stopped contact it was months and just by chance i saw she was back on fab after blocking me and had not used it since she stopped talking to me i wouldnt bother if it was only on fab as ive had that happen which is fine just move on but as we were friends it was a bit strange and hurtful that she gave no reason just blank me till i took the hint |

Fab,WhatsApp,Kik.....doesn't really matter.
Only you know the ins n outs n all the details but I'd say it serves no purpose to invest yourself emotionally in someone you've messaged for months without managing to meet.....or spoke to in person over the phone?
Just my opinion,but just because the convo shifts to a different platform it doesn't make it anymore meaningful. |
