Falkirk

We having been born south of the border and only moving to Scotland 5 years ago I was unaware of some Scottish traditions.

The mother in law was teaching the kids to make things and this is where I have discovered the what I can only describe as a taste sensation.

Tablet. I only tasted it for the first time today and it's amazing.

I'm 30,000 feet from the sugar rush right enough

Frenchie here and I love Haggis

And I always take one back home as my family in France likes it too.

Tablet is great to make and sweeet. I prefer to make it than eating it.

I was delighted many moons to win a competition for my tablet lol

Aye, Scottish tablet with frenchie twist, got a few dirty look

Get the kids to brush their teeth tonight OP lol

I cannot believe that with the sweet tooth and passion you appear to have for cake you have not tasted tablet....

Just dont buy shop bought... needs to be homemade to appreciate the awesomeness of it.

Well granny in in full baking swing so tomorrow is shortbread.

Think I will hang around to see how's it made. I remember going to visit my relatives in Aberdeen and there was always home made shortbread and scones.
