I've noticed with sadness that Remembrance Day appears to be less important to people as the years go by.
Remembrance Sunday is to commemorate the fallen from the past, present and dare I say it, the future.
Agree or Disagree with conflict but please, respect those who didn't come home! |

I've got to agree with you to a certain extent.
Personally, being a former serving soldier it brings it home thinking about all those who never came home, which sadly includes people I knew personally |

It makes me sad that it's starting to be less popular (for lack of a better word). I feel fortunate that my work still has the 2 minutes silence and reminds everyone of those who have fallen. I don't think we should ever stop remembering as a country.
Never a truer quote than - "those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it" |

When you go home, tell them of us and say,
For their tomorrow we gave our today.
Simple but says so much
They shall not grow old,as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

It's just when the rest of the people around you are showing their respect and their is always one person on a phone not even trying to be quite...
Even had someone ask me why do we have the minute silence...I had to walk away |

It's not about remembering the atrocities of war it's about paying respect to those who fought and those that made the ultimate sacrifice |
