Single Men Pay!!!

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Is it right that single men are the only ones that pay to join swingers clubs?

In this day of equality, is it right that single women get their ten pounds membership fee paid back to them once their membership is verified and couples don't get charged atall?

I'm only asking because I think it's all a bit one sided and not encouraging Single guys onto the swinging scene - or is that the idea? (I know I'm being paranoid, but I'm sure they are out there trying to get me...lol)

Any thoughts?

Just thought I'd add...

I know that I'm very new to the swinging scene, and maybe this has always been the way, but is it right??

Well single women don't pay to join After 8, but do pay entry. Whilst it is a lot lower what single men pay. This is to help ensure there are more single women at clubs for the men no doubt.

The club that we attend doesn't charge single women membership, couples and single males pay £20 and £25 for membership which isn't much of a difference.

You may see if as not fair but if everyone was charged the same all you would have was a club full of single males.

"no every1 gets charged x"

Not if you look at the website of the club I looked at...

I'm not really complaining, just think that if I went about charging more for certain people in my business I wouldn't be in business for long.

as I say... I'm happy to go with the flow.... xxx

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

I think its a scandle the diffrence in charges between Men and Women at these clubs there is no reason why they cant both be charged the same .

As for clubs being filled with single men if the fee was dropped then surley thats up to the owners to make sure their clubs are filled appropriately to equal the blance.

The only way I could see this change would be a boycot of these clubs by men until they drop the charges

It's just a supply/ demand issue. There's greater demand from single guys so it's possible to charge them more.

I don't see the need for men to boycott clubs in any sort of formal sense but there's no shortage of other events - socials, bike rides and so on people can attend to meet like minded others.

Going to clubs isn't compulsory.

club system needs an overhaul like nightclubs got years ago.

used to go into a night club and fems got in free or complimentary drinks has been stopped due to sexual discrimination. but adult clubs still do it. as much as 4 times more expensive for a single male as opposed to a single fem. only way to stop it is to hit them in the pocket and dont go unless you have loads of money then challenge them in court but then your buisness is common knowledge ahhhhh the joys of being male eh lol

Sometimes life just ain't fair.

Do you hear us women moan about being charged more for a haircut or lingerie to name but a few.

You either don't mind paying more to get into clubs or you don't go simple as.....

as someone else said - its all about supply and demand as in many things in life - why pay more during school holidays to go on holiday?

can I reverse the thinking? rather than discourage single men - perhaps the clubs are trying to encourage single females as its quite a daunting prospect to go to a club as a single woman.

Just a thought xxx

Hello sexsyxx,

and yes, I agree that it's more daunting for a female to go into plain old pubs than it is for a guy, never mind swingers clubs...

and as I say, I wasn't really having a go, just a wee moan...

good to see us Livi folks out and about though... xxxx

singles get stitched up all the time. in all areas of life. just look at holidays with single room supplements. now some hotels charge by the room not the number of folk in the room. as for clubs if they charged the same for females and guys yes there might be fewer females but they are all there for the same thing - socialising. some clubs are couples only and limited singles so that you dont get the crowds of males and this seams to work . but in the end it is their ball and they set the rules

being in a couple i believe the charges are correct the last thing we would want at a club is to be surrounded by sauage there are jst 2 many single males to the amout of couples or single ladies.

plus don't think its bout stitching up the single guys the charges also out the guys that are timewasters or jst think going to a club is an easier way to get laid.

The Equality Act 2010 makes it illegal for any service provider to discriminate on the grounds of gender.

You cannot charge males more than females and vice versa.

So legally, you'd have cause for complaint.

That said, if you did it might wreck things for all, so you'd need to balance your understandable pique with the wider interest so to speak.

I've seen some venues come out with some strangely worded "discounts", but I don't think they'd stand up to scrutiny either.
