Manners?

Not saying this is everyone as I have spoke to lots of lovely women but it starts to get annoying the amount of women on here that have absolutely no manners, you write in your profile you want a well written message but when you get one you don't even have the decency and manners to at least say thanks but not interested.

Surely I can't be the only one that thinks if a genuine effort has been made then surely a reply that takes two seconds is the decent thing to do

I feel your pain! I just received a message from some one stating I was an ignorant person because I hadn't replied to the first message which I hadn't even read yet...it was only sent an hour ago!! Wow! What's going on with fab!!!

This is understandable but when you have seen that it's been read then a little later deleted then it's a tad annoying! If you have time to be on the website and read a message then you have time to send a 2 second reply, even if it isn't thanks. Manners cost nothing

A 2 second "thanks but no thanks" message, multiplied by the amount of unread messages I have would take time I could spend chatting to someone I do want to chat with.

A delete is not rude, it means I'm not interested.

Our main issue is the ones that clearly never read the profile and just looked at pics before messaging.

They have no chance of a reply and are likely getting blocked.

It does say so on profile

Doesn't bother me at all.

When I message I do so more in hope than expectation of a reply .

Sometimes they get read and deleted so no interest . Sometimes they remain unread until deletion . The very odd occasion I get a reply back . It's just the way it is and I've seen myself the volume of mail ladies get so it's understandable.

More frustrating In my opinion is when contact is initiated by a female then you reply and the above happens .

But hey ho it is what it is . I won't get upset or lose any sleep about it . A quick wank sees to that

I know what your saying mate. But a lot of the ladies here get hundreds of mail a day so it would take forever to answer all of them. So i understand when i dont get replys.

When everything today is so "instant" & "fast" people have become accustomed to getting things quickly. Patience has become a forgotten virtue, along with manners. Consideration for others has all but vanished & the art of conversation has been replaced with text speak.

However rather than add to the negativity in the world the best thing is to rise above it, do what I can to keep myself in check when I become frustrated & remember not to add to it by submitting to the current trend but to enjoy life's little positive moments.

I understand women get tonnes of messages and would be difficult to respond to them all but when they complain about messages that are 'one liners' but can't give a polite response when effort has been made then why should guys even bother?

If you get 50-100 messages a day are you going to spend all your spare time answering them all ...i think not ...your only gonna answer the ones that appeal to you ....so maybe thats what they do too

Well in the time it's taken me to write that last post, I've had 20 new messages, don't know if they are one liners or what cos I don't have time to check them, that shows the number of messages us women get on here, it borders on unmanageable at times.

Nothubg to do with manners, fab states no reply means no thanks, also have this on our profile.

I remember first joining and replying no thanks to everyone we weren't interested in, soon learned very quickly that it was better not to reply as most of the no thanks were them followed by other questions of why not or abuse.

I don't imagine the single ladies have the time to reply to every message they get, I've been on here as a single and have come home after working a 15 hour shift to over 100 messages which would end up in a mass delete.

Nah for me it's a waste of time chatting with folk I have no interest in meeting,so I don't think it's rude when I myself don't get a reply.I might be a little disappointed for a second but them's the breaks eh.

Have a thought for the poor newbie who has said no thanx to all those messages and to those who didn't take no for an answer the first, second or third time, she's getting on like a house on fire with someone or a few folk but not sure of them yet to swap numbers so she's just keeping it to here but wait she's ran out of messages as she used most of them up tell folk no thanx. So now the folk that she was chatting to think she's a time waster for not replying and no longer want to continue chatting with her.

Seems to be a common occurrence and we girls can't seem to do right from wrong. I will try and get through as many of the mails as possible. I will instantly delete messages from non local guys, guys with cock profile pics or those without my header.

If the person clearly hasn't read my profile or chosen to ignore it the message is deleted.

Once I've gone through that process I will start to reply starting with the sorry your not for me. There will always be 1/2 who will always ask why. A real pet hate of mine. We all have choices on here and mine is I don't want to chat or meet you please accept that thank you. If they continue to ask why it's block and move on.

There are times however when there are just too many messages so I will bulk delete however alway update my status to show this. Still doesn't stop the "ignorant bitch/cow/cunt/bastard/fucker" messages.

The site is meant for enjoyment let's remember that when sending messages to each other.

And this would be the case if FAB operated in a perfect world. Unfortunately it doesn't and you can go from the hottest honey on her to the fattest ugliest slag, just by saying a polite - thanks but not for me. Only takes one idiot reply to make you hit that delete button time and time again.

Someone want to reply to the nearly 500 unread messages I have so they don't think I'm rude? I don't even know what's underneath (it only shows you the first 50?) and I'll spend half an hour sometimes trying to delete as many read ones as I can to get to the unread.

OP you underestimate just how much time it takes to simply go through the messages - yes to you it seems like a 2 second reply but it's more than that (on top of doing that trying to have conversations with people I may be interested in) and it takes a lot more time than you realise to go through the amount of messages single woman get.
