It may seem that it's more difficult for the over 50's but 4 months on the site is not a long time.
I'd suggest going along to a local Social in your area & meet other users, continue to use the Forum & Scottish Chatroom so users get to know your personality, & be patient. Many users feel that they don't make instant connections on Fab, but just like real life it takes time to make connections & is down to the effort you put in.
It'll all fall into place OP so don't be in a rush. |

Hey mate. Ive felt like you for years now. I put a pic up on fabathon yesterday. Never got one like. That tells me something. I do get some banter in forums. But as for meets ?. I think ive been hung out to dry on here. Would have more luck at the next WBI.  |

At 57 myself, I don't think age is the problem. It's keeping your sense of humour and finding the fun. Still lots to be had...if you are of the right mindset. |
