There seems to be a Global Day for just about everything these days.
Today 05/10/16 is Global James Bond Day as 54 years ago today the world first got to see Sean Connery as the world's most famous spy.
So fellas, time to put on the tux & give our own Bond Girls something to drool over. |

"Ive never wore a tux ..never been invited anywhere id need 1 lol Daniel Craig was awesome as Bond ..finally some grit in the character ..rest of the bonds were too blahhhh "
I think I'd have liked to see a 3rd entry from Dalton & see where he would've taken Bond. He'd already moved away from the Moore interpretation & LTK was an older rating in the cinemas for the first time. Unfortunately Eon Productions/MGM got embroiled in legal issues holding up his next film for about 5 or 6 years. Then we got Brosnan who was a decent Bond with not so good scripts, before Eon got the opportunity to get their hands on the only title they didn't own, Casino Royale.
In came a grittier (Bourne-esque) Craig, who to me was more thug than suave spy with angst by the truck load. So I was happy to see Bond return battling Blofeld & getting the girl at the end of Spectre. All in all I like each & every Bond for different reasons & each film can be a favourite depending what kind of Bond I fancy watching. |

I hate Moore as bond, he was just the Saint in it but he had great villans. Loved Jaws. In my opinion Connery and Craig are the best Bonds because you do need to be a bit of a bastard to do the job.
Judy Dench is a fantastic M too and I rather like the new geeky Q.

I loved Judy Dench as M & her casting was a stroke of genius. Killing her off, for me, was awful but I'm sure it was in keeping with the current angst ridden Bond films. (I'd have let her retire to a nice easy life, but I don't write the scripts).
I wasn't sure on the new geeky Q, but I've quickly warmed to him & can see how he'll grow into sometimes finding Bond a pest as Desmond Llewelyn played him at times.
I quite like the new Moneypenny too.
Still not sure on Ralph Fiennes as M. Patrick Stewart would've been my choice. Authoritative & capable of ruthlessness. |

Agreed re Judy being killed off, she was far too wily to have allowed that. Patrick Stewart is a good choice but Anthony Quinn would have been good too.
I think this Q will be exasperated by Bond but no wonder... careless git lol! |
