Love rocky horror, seen it a few times at theatre, they are making a remake for the cinema looking forward to seeing it.
But can it ever be as good as the original? X |

"I'll probably watch it as I love Rocky Horror, but I don't feel like it needed to be remade"
I agree. Some movies are just classics in their own right & shouldn't be touched. I'm a bit jaded with all these remakes: Disney remaking practically every animated classic; Ben Hur; Magnificent Seven; Clash Of The Titans. It's a cash cow for the studios. |

I think we saw Frank is now being played as female, if so Rocky should be female too to maintain the bisexual element.
The new IT is a different adaptation rather than out right remake. It's being set in the 80s for the childhood section and is only really going to focus on them. IT is also going to appear closer to their age. While I love the old miniseries I'm optimistic as it'll be different enough to hopefully stand alone. |

I'm not impressed they're doing Big Trouble in Little China |

"And they are remaking Stephen Kings IT, that will never be as good as the original!!
Basically they're just going through Tim Curry's back Catalogue.
Next up - Clue"
That's actually happening I'm sure. |

Some remakes are just shameful, like the US remakes of Asian horror movies which was a big thing in the 2000s. Came down to just putting white people speaking English in without any original input.
Some remakes can be great, taking something familiar and putting a new spin on it creating something familiar and new at the same time. I have a feeling the Rocky Horror one will sadly be the former but would love to be surprised.
And all the talk of Tim Curry... Susan Sarandon! To this day would still love to toucha-toucha-toucha her. |

On a similar note, I only heard recently that Rocky Horror had a (sort of) sequel - Shock Treatment.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing the new Rocky Horror. |

I'm still firmly on the Susan Sarandon bandwagon too |

I've seen the new one. It was horrendously awful
Made for 8pm American family viewing it has none of the original naughtiness and all the sexuality has been cleaned up.
Victoria Justice pays reasonable homage to Susan Sarandon and the guy that plays Brad could probably have pulled off a reasonable Frank nFurter but Laverne Cox was truly awful. And a women playing a sweet transvestite just doesn't work. She doesn't have the voice either.
Dire, dire, dire!

Eddie doesn't come out of the freezer in the remake - he comes in through a window.
I love the original but it's the remake that I think is dire.

Only seen it once. Not worth a reviewing . It's ok , but long pauses deliberately put in for Bits they expected audience to respond to , spoils it a bit .
