Hi, lived in Brighton for a while with my wife, she would waken in the middle of the night with me talking to my mother and the room full of what she called mist.

Happened again when we came back to Scotland, living with her parents but stopped as soon as we settled in own home. Jim

A few weird things have happened to me...not often, but enough to make me wonder. Even this very morning something very strange occurred as I was looking through some old mementos. Try as I might I can't find an explanation. I remain open minded but more than a little sceptical. I'd love to believe there is a spirit world but often I think the bereaved and vulnerable are tricked into believing and that saddens me. It is a great comfort to some..but really, who knows???

Yes. I'm convinced both my dad and brother are looking over me making sure im safe.

Was in a really bad car crash last year and walked away with a scratch. Both fire and ambulance staff were amazed.

Still believe to this day they protected me in some way.

Miss them both xxxx

Big yes from me. I've had few minor things happen but one in particular.

I used to live in a strange little squat in my early twenties. I shared a room with another guy, big room with very little furniture & the bed's were just mattresses on the floor, mine by the door, his lay under the big window.

One night everyone went out & I had an early night. I awoke in the middle of the night & rolle over & saw my friend in his bed. At least I could make out the shape of his body when the wind blew in through the open window letting in some light from the street lamps outside.

Closing my eyes to drift off back to sleep I could hear him turning in his bed. The shuffling sound continued longer than it should so I opened my eyes to see what he was at only to see he was half out of his bed & lying on his belly slowly crawling on the floor for some reason. I asked him what if was doing, all I heard back was slow breathing.

All I could see was his dark silhouette slowly crawling across the floor towards me when the curtains blew open & the light came in. I kept asking him what was he doing & kept being met wIth silence except his breathing. It was begInnIng to piss me off so I just left him to it & rolled over & turned my back on him but I felt very vulnerable & rolled back to face him crawling towards me. I kept trying to close my eyes & ignore him but couldn't help opening them to see him getting closer. Too close. But I still couldn't see his face or clothes or anything, just a black silhouette.

I opened my eyes & sat up quickly to give him a serious yelling at only to see noone there, not a soul in the room except myself. That's when I felt a singular finger firmly press me in my arm.

That was it.! Out of bed. Light's on.

Absolutely yes, my dad told me a story a long time ago, one that he still remembers vividly, driving his truck down the m74 he had a feeling of quiet, and unusual peace from nowhere, chill in the air and very quickly felt very cold, a strange feeling quickly came over him and He didn't feel alone, Ashe looked to his left he saw a young woman sitting looking forward, dressed in an old Victorian style dress, he remembers so very clearly the feeling when she turned to look at him, there was no fear, no panic, just a moment where time didn't matter, an overwhelming feeling of stillness that he couldn't do anything about, he to this very day insists that she acknowledged him by smiling and nodding to him, then she was gone, afterwards as you would expect no one believed him, proper piss taken out of him, however he stuck to his story and some time later discovered that the point where she appeared around beattock, there had been a school previously, the young teacher had been killed in a tragic accident and was laid to rest in the school grounds, grounds that now had been turned into the m74.

This is absolutely how he told it then and now when you ask, my dad believed in nothing, until that day.

In the eighties I used to visit a friend a lot for the weekend. She rented a flat in an old mansion house which had been the lairds house in its day. Many a night I'd hear footsteps above us in what had been the servants quarters. This part of the house still belonged to the owners and wasnt used for anything.

One night I heard the footsteps as usual then realised that my friend and myself were the only people in the building as the owner and family were away on holiday. I started to panic thinking there were burglars in the house until my friend said it was the ghost, and as I had never commented on the footsteps she had assumed I never heard them.

I had....but I'd always thought it was the owner checking the house before going to bed!

A world of my own

I think theres something in it.

For example when my dad was very ill he told me how despite his weak state he would have still had a go at my ex husband (he hated him) shortly after my dad passed away my ex went in for the snip. It ended up going wrong. It made him pretty ill twice with various complications. He was in a lot of pain. Ive a few friends in the medical profession (one a theatre nurse) who said its so rare to go wrong like that. I really believe my dad saw an opportunity and took it.

Personally I think it's just wish full thinking. If someone has lost someone close then I think they convice themselves that little things that happen are their loved ones doing it.

If this was the case I'd like one of mine to give me the lottery numbers. Oh and if they could come down at night while I'm sleeping and do my housework washing and organise my diner that would be great. Would show me your still there looking after me

Not a single psychic will take a scientific challenge to prove what they can supposedly do, so it's a no from us. It should be easy to prove but no one does.

I think the thing is we don't really know what we are measuring or have a reliable way to measure it but even science is admitting there may be some truth in certain things. This is quite interesting

I have had my fair share of experiences. The worst one involving a ouija board now if you haven't used one of these take it from me DONT. Scared that shit out of me and won't go near one ever again.

I have also had readings and a lot

Of what was said has happened in the past and since having the reading. To much to go into on here.

I have had one or two experiences that cannot be explained by science.

I started to study Parapsychology in the early 90's after one such experience.

Have camped out in the grounds of old supposed buildings, have stayed the night in haunted houses etc to prove a point.

Yet the eeriest incidents happened in my own home.

Posters falling off the walls leaving the pins still in the wall but not a tear in the poster. TV, stereo lights etc switching on and off in an empty room.

Seeing figures walking inside old buildings during a night shift when I knew I was the only person around for miles.

Yes I never believed in the past but too many incidents have happened in past 20 years that can't be explained
