Am over in Edinburgh soon for a few days and thinking of going to the midweek event. Does anyone if it's any good, will there be many there, waste of time for a single male etc? From the website it looks like a nice well run venue |

As with most things in life you'll get differing opinions. There are some people who have bad experiences and decide it's not for them and there's others who have nothing but good experiences and go all the time. I've always had a good time even if it's just as a social evening.
As a single man you'll be at a disadvantage in clubs most of the time, but if you are well mannered and talk with the other members you'll have a good time. Just don't go with the expectation of being guaranteed some fun - it does depend on who's there.
Since it's not a pre-arranged club it is very hit-and-miss as to how many will be there and what mixture they will be - I'm hoping to be able to make this Wednesday myself work permitting so there should be at least one person there
