"Rough size and budget required ."

Not toooo sure Steph 40 - 50 sq yards looking at junckners kind of flooring budget hoping for £1500 or less. Also seeking guidance on that. |

Try Caledonian wood flooring in Livingston as a supplier. They do all sorts from cheap to expensive. Light to dark. Engineered to veneer.
It all depends on where in the house you need it.
But they are really good. I assume you can Google them and get a website too

Engineered or Solid, some "engineered" floors cost more than the equivalent solid wood.
When I did our 4 floors, I was able to negotiate a better price by buying slightly more than I needed. Ended up buying a pallet full for ~20% less than I would have buying the amount I needed.
Used the savings to get a joiner to fit it. |

Wow thanks folks, I'd like real wood... Not a lot of traffic so damage isn't too likely. Seen stuff from 20 -60 quid a sq metre and fitting ranging from 8 to an outrageous 30quid.
Just looking for your experiences of good value for money places to buy it and fit it. Thank you all so much for your input it's very helpful.
The tongue and groove advice from lil ang Steph is keeping my interest parqued too |

great place in hillington I bought walnut flooring for my lounge real wood great price . but used all floors in Glasgow for karandeen for bathroom ,kitchen,bedroom.and bathroom waterproof and so easy to keep clean looks as good as it did when I first bought it |
