One thing I think most would be worried about is stds. I know folk who have caught stds on fab god knows if they are still on as don't speak to them now. But surely if you had an std you would do us all a favour and stay away from fab right ?

You would hope people would stay back but there are always going to be some that won't.

We always play safe, although it doesn't protect us 100% at least it limits our chances of catching something.

People seem to forget what and how stds are contracted. Most folk catch an std when there are no symptoms. Posts like this trying to shame folk only help push it further underground. I view stds the same as the cold as consenting adult we could all catch one and there should be no stigma attached to that.

I think the O.P is referring to the people who knowingly have a sti and still play knowing fine well that they might give someone it rather than shame everyone who has ever had one.

I had a mate with genital warts and he used to brag how many girls he infected.

If was shaming I would of used name s but its nothing to do with that. Mibbi some of us just don't fancy catching them. Obviously doing something like this encourages the chances of an std. Love the comparison the cold and an std at least you can get rid of the cold an std your stuck for life lol. I would take the cold any day and always play safe certainly does help to minimise

you are classing it as something shameful. which in my opinion it isnt you can get rid of most stds so no not stuck with for life. If you really believe someone is infecting people knowingly go to the police. Yes same as in everyday life folk on this site will catch an std but placing shame against it makes folk hide it perhaps think about that. The biggest std barrier is knowledge and openess

Should mibi make them think about being respectful to the ones who don't have stds and stay out the game . Loads talk about respect for others on here. Seems quite respectful to me if they did

I think OP is on about someone specific and we are only getting half a story

In more general circumstances i think if someone knowingly has and std and continues to play while they have it then they are a bit of a knob ... Even more so if they are not adult enough to let their previous partners know so that they can stop playing and be treated too

However if its something thats been treated and has now cleared up ... Like kola said why should you be shamed and need to steer clear of fab

Its like sending your kid to school knowing they have the chicken pox is a dick move ... But you don't never send them back because they had it that one time

http://www.std-gov.org/stds/std.htm

10 out of the 14 most common listed on that site ... And that was just the first option in a google search result

I think you maybe want to actually visit a sexual health clinic and talk to a nurse or educate yourself online in some way OP because you appear to very narrow in your knowledge

Take it you're at the wind up? As previously stated most STI s are cleared up with antibiotics with the exception of HIV which whilst still incurable at least people living with it are living a decent quality of life. Other infections chlymidia , gonorrhoea etc are all bacterial infections easily treatable with antibiotics . I'm assuming you're at the wind up or you really shouldn't be on here , those of us who practice safe sex do exactly that safe sex but nothing is 100% safe apart from no sex. Common sense is the order of the day here. Get yourself educated. Stay safe and have lots of fun.

I think (but someone correct me if i am wrong) herpies and warts all come from the same if not similar virus ... Its like coldsores or warts anywhere else on your body ... The virus will be in your system forever but only flare up occasionally ... And you are only infectious around the time of a flare up?

So that leaves hepatitis and hiv ... And yes if you know someone who has either and is actively spreading it without any precautions or regard for others health then i think that is actually a criminal offence now? (Again i might be wrong)

however i have a strong suspicion that is not the case and you might have flown off the handle about something without doing your research OP

Nah your still able to infect if you become infectious from time to Tim a bit like herp you go through periods of being infectious.

And can imagine like hep your infectious 10 days before and after sores. So duno how you judge a flare up but you never know eh 50/50 lol.

Your still able to infect

Hepatitis can be cured now too in almost 100% of cases, and in most cases your body will fight the virus in its own anyway. Genital warts are from the HPV virus which is actually very common (there are around 100 types), hence the HPV immunisation regime for girls at high school, it can also cause cancer. Chlamydia, ghonnorea, syphilis and trichomitis are all treatable with a short course of antibiotics, in the case of the first two generally by a single dose of medicine.

Thing here is..... if you're happy to live a promiscuous lifestyle, then the chances are, your gonna come up against a person with a currenT STI. That's the nature of the beast. Forgetting for a second about bareback sex.... Only having unprotected oral sex can also result in you becoming infected. Usually only 1 in 5 women will show symptoms for the usual, common treatable STI compared to 4 in 5 men. Best policy here is get tested regularly, do your homework, make your lifestyle choices but bear in mind what's out there. Especially the non treatable diseases.

Out of interest OP how often are you tested at the GUM clinic? You may want to pick some leaflets on various diseases whilst you are next down there.

Very true. The HPV virus that causes cervical cancer is classed as an STD and you don't hear people shaming folk with that.

STDs can be passed through oral too and the Herpes virus is spread by skin on skin contact in the boxer short region so condoms Offer no protection.

Sorry for the rant but I teach sexual health.

STDs can be asymptomatic. so how many would even know if they have one, if they "always" play safe and haven't been tested......
