Just wondering if there are any other foreign Nationals or foreign language speakers.
Originally I'm American, lived in Germany and speak it fluently.
Lived in Tenerife. ... speak some Spanish.
Speak some Scottish. .. broad Fife still a wee bit difficult.
Nessarosa is a weegie (spelling) glaswegian.
Just wondering.

Born in South Africa, grew up in Dubai, 'technically' Scottish but have a posh English accent mixed in with American/Australian apparently haha! Can say simple things like hello, how are you, good morning etc in Afrikaans/Arabic. If I'm d*unk I try and sound Scottish but I just end up sounding like a prick |

I was once passingly good at French. My conversation was somewhat stilted, but it was conversation nonetheless. It has lapsed though
Whenever I go to other countries I try to cram just enough vocabulary in the few weeks beforehand to be able to be polite and to order food. Making an honest effort is appreciated in most places. I've found it leads to more friendliness and a lot of interesting conversations... |

Well
As a genuine Nogg (Norwegian) I thing I might be a bit better in this language than the queens language. lol
To my luck the language spoken between the sheets seems to be bi lingual. lol
Also a bit German, very important to know durch gegen unter and zwischen when attending to CJ. lol |

It's nice to see...
I get to use German and some Spanish when I'm up in the Highlands. Lot of tourists.
I would like to learn Galic.
Just difficult to read...and then have no real person to help with pronunciations.
Thanks to all for the answers.
Hugs

"Not a single mention of Gaelic, we've lost our mother tongue, and no jokes about where my mummy's tongue has been lol "
(Lee)
When we go up towards oban and Ullapool we have heard some of the locals speaking gaelic. ... that's why we would love to learn it. Its a beautiful language.
It is a wee shame....sometimes the young kids in the area around us sound more American than scottish. I guess it's to much American sitcoms and cartoons.
I like scottish. .. wonderful accent.
(Should I say bairns instead of kids...lol)

That's word "fine" sometimes followed with "then" is my 7 year old daughters favourite words at the minute. I really am dreading her teenage years. |
