Im going away this weekend its a romantic total getaway.
No phone,no tv, and probably wont see anyone else where im going to .
So my question is could you do a total get away like this or do you always need some kind of contact with the outside world or fab while your away or on holiday? |

If you are happy and content with that one person yes of course it's great to getaway from it all just shut off from the world and live in the moment , sometimes that's when the best memories are made  xx  |

Read a book lol and go for a walk!
I go away twice a year to lodge, don't use mobile or a computer it's great to get away and collect your thoughts once and a while!

Reading through this it would seem folks thoughts on isolation are very diffrent from mine. My interpretation would be in a desolate place away from any technology or people a camping stove and your thoughts |

There's a wee but n ben for two...about quarter of a mile up a dirt track on the slopes of a mountain on the Isle of Mull. Very isolated...bliss!
Used to go there a few times a year until new owners stopped allowing dogs  |

Love to get away. No people, no tech.... Just quiet. Peace. A good book.
I work with people, so it's more about getting away from the multitudes, and spending it with the one.
An exception was Tokyo... So many people, but you can feel totally alone in places. Fantastic situation if you can manage it. |

I try and do this every couple of months. Was recommended by a grief councillor
Let's you focus on what really matters as only you and your thoughts oh and a couple of books to read. I tend to go up north just drive and find a nice looking b&b |

Looking to get out into the hills for a couple of days before the summer ends
Take a tent and do some wild camping. Possibly in Glencoe area just me and the hills to reflect and reboot myself |

I try to do this every 4/6 weeks as well. Usually book a hotel room in glasgow, fo do some shopping in peace, nice meal and wine, read a book and have a decent night sleep! Home life is busy. Work life is busy, I don't have wild nights out to escape but this wee bit of isolation is my escapism. I always come back battery's recharged ready to face the future. A bit of me time without kids or work is great more people should try it. Family used to think it was weird going away myself but everyone sees how it keeps me sane and are used to it now x |

I've had a weekend like that but it was years ago. It was fantastic.
I used to enjoy being at my grans farm as a teenager. I'd go for a couple of weeks in the holidays without the rest of the family and just potter about. I'd spend some time walking the dog and also working on the farm. The tv was only on for a couple of hours in the evening and I found it heaven.
