I was in Glasgow Today doing the last of some Holiday shopping..I didnt have too much time too spend.I managed too grab a baguette from Greggs and sat quite content watching people passing by..Just as i sat down...there was a Lad around mid 20s with Downs Syndrome sit beside me.He stated his Mother was in Frasers.
I kid you not..Ive never laughed so much by listening to this Lads stories. We spoke of Sport Families Holidays lifestyle Music Moviesa and his love for Playstation games ..which i hadnt a clue about.
For the 20mins or so that we chatted i thoroughly enjoyed his humour and his company. His Mother arrived and said ,,"I hope Nathan hasnt been roasting your ears".I replied .."Hes a credit to you...what a happy smiling care-free lad
As we departed Nathan said.."Is that a Police Van over there" yes i replied..He said "Ya better behave yoursel". and laughed and waved goodbye..
It was very inspiring on his happy outlook on life..
Whats inspired of recently

Very heart warming
People with downs are very open, honest, sensitive happy go lucky people.
Someone who indpires me every day is my wee dad whos the kindest, happiest loving man I know and not just with his family but everyone around him.
No matter what life throws at him he just gets on with it ,always has a smile on his face and always makes people laugh.
A man in a million not just in my eyes but others too |

My wee boy with additional needs inspires me everyday, he has lots of stuff going on but still just gets on with life, he's funny, open and honest, very literal and wouldn't change a thing about him

I spent yesterday in the company of a young teenager who over the course of the last 18 months has lost his sight. His spirit, determination, sense of humour and outlook on life have seldom wavered throughout this dramatic transition on his life.
Hats off to this young man. I doubt i would have coped as well at his age.
A total inspiration. |
