I did. But now I'm wondering. He did choose Cinderella Barbie who is now Iron Man's lady friend. She's rather classy so that's ok.
Some of those Barbie's are quite slutty you know? Lol |

I remember buying my nephew a hoover for a present because he really wanted one. Was by far the best present ever in his eyes although a few did comment that it wasn't for boys but that's utter rubbish |

True. If he'd wanted something granny shaped it would have been yet another football. |

Children are innocent and is adults who like to play the stereotypical role ....
I used to love playing with my sisters "girls world" ... And always played Star Wars in the school playground .... Of course has to be princess laya (always wanted the buns on the side of my head) ..... And I turned out fine x |

When my son was just a toddler a family member had their baby and he wanted a doll to copy looking after a baby. I bought him a little doll and he pretended to be 'Daddy' looking after the baby - definitely didn't think anything wrong with that
I wouldn't mind being Iron Man's girlfriend |

"Boys playing with dolls worst that could happen is they become fantastic dad's "
True. His father has and I'm sure he had a few sneaky plays with his friend's Barbie's! |

If that is what he wants, why not.
I used to play Barbie and Bella with one of my male friend when I was young.
We used to make new clothes for them/do their hair etc... He is now a designer in Paris and doing well I hear.

A world of my own |
All 3 of my boys have had dolls, prams, kitchens and have wore dresses and heels.
In fact a couple of years ago my then 5 year old went to a princess party in fairy dress, tiara, heels and lipstick.he even thought to get 2 balls to put in the dress as boobs!
He looked awesome and loved it far more than batman or superman other boys went as. I couldn't have been prouder when someone's mum asked him why he chose his costume and he replied "because I like it"
It is that simple but adults try to force stereotypes on to children.
Variety is good.

I totally agree. He already has a kitchen and has the greatest fun with it and I adore watching him whip up a little something.
The greatest Christmas we ever had was the one where my boys got a cheapy plastic tea set in their stockings and we had 'tea' the whole day long. All other pressies were cast aside. Happy days. |
