Has your taste in music developed or changed over the years or are you still listening to the same songs & same type of songs you listened to when you were younger?
My taste keep changing but I still like the stuff I liked years ago. I went from indie music (I felt that music only counted if if had guitar, bass & drums,) into pop punk & metal to dance to post-rock & more recently through dubstep & into ambient techno, witch house & modern classical.
But today I'm listening to Radiohead & Tool.
What's been your musical journey?

I still listen to all the same stuff from early to mid 90s.
Gnr,metallica, Greenday and offspring old stuff but right now I'm mostly into Faith no more.
I'm pretty narrow minded when it comes to music and don't like most of the newer stuff coming out. |

Still listen to the same kinda tunes I've always listened to.....non commercial, non cheesy techno. The only cheesy tunes I like are from the 80's!
Other than that it's the usual suspects...Led Zepplin,Black Sabbath,CCR,Rolling Stones,Stone Roses.
Mixcloud is barry for finding new dance tunes....as is youtube for finding stuff you otherwise wouldn't have listened to from the suggested videos that come up.Was turned on to Major Lazor n Tame Impala via youtube long before they started to get airplay on the radio.
Music.....food for the soul |

Started with Boomtown Rats and Gary Numan, then onto the Eagles and Rick Springfield, Bruce Sprrlingsteen etc. Now it's still them but add Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Melloncamp and Steve Earle into the mix along with various Canadian groups |

I listened to dj rankin etc etc when I was younger! My ned music is well behind me now lol
When I was 17 my BF at the time introduced me to arctic monkeys, oasis, stereophonics etc etc so my taste is more indie than dance now.
Don't get me wrong I still enjoy dance but not ned music lol! I also enjoy chart music as wel just depends on the mood |

I was a fan of greenday since I saw them doing welcome to paradise on totp in 1994. Seen them three times last one being the American idiot tour but I can't stand anything they have done since then.
Can't believe I missed Blink 182 off my list. |

Have a very wide varied taste in music. Can't say there's anything I hate but there isn't much opera/classical music in the mix but I'd rather have music than tv |

I'll pretty much listen to anything apart from free form jazz (seriously what's the point) and death metal (it sounds like someone is putting a truck through a grinder with wild boar on board)! |

Where do I start.
Brought up with my dad and Grandads influences so listened to a lot of classical, opera and old Italian crooners to Tenessee Ernie Ford. Got into BB King and the old Blues masters
Started learning to play drums with local BB and then town pipe band which have birth to an interest in Celtic sounds.
From there I took myself into the sounds of Queen, Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath to name but a few.
Remained true to my rock base but listened to a shitload of Prog. the darker the better.
Now I am about to join a band that are heavily influenced by Southern Blues ie Skynyrd, ZZ Top etc however today I've been getting inspiration listening to
Mogwai, Russian Circles, ISIS and Pelican
Depends on what mood the day takes |

Ever since i was little i trully loved the sound of synthesizers so i grew up listening to Kraftwerk Depeche Mode Pet Shop Boys New Order and found that i had little tolerance for guitar based rock though i did fall in love with Nine Inch Nails!
As time went on i started to add more dance based music like Orbital and Underworld then abstract electronic music especially things from WARP records so it was artists like Aphex Twin, Autechre and L.F.O ...which thed led to getting more into ambient music such as Brian Eno, Biosphere etc.
I used to write my own too as had a fairly good collection of synthesizers and drum machines.
But then around 2000s i started to fall away from music and get more into film and found myself listening to film scores more than pop or dance music ..especially the work of Hand Zimmer and Harry Gregson Williams and that has kinda remained true to this day.
I still listen to all the artists mentioned though but while my likes have expanded my tastes havent. |

There's studies that the first music you listen to when you stop liking your parents music is the music that is most imprinted upon us the emotions you have during puberty are the ones that evoked the strongest responses so you go back to them again and again |

I think my music taste has grown more eclectic over the years. As a teen, I'd sneer at anything other than rock or metal.
These days? Eh, I'll give anything a shot. Finding I actually like dubstep. :P Not too different from industrial really. |

Pretty much everything.
Older brothers meant I listened to Elvis, Beatles & Stones.
Mum liked Standards from the likes of Frank, Dean, Sammy, Bing, Judy, Doris, Billie, Shirley...
I enjoy everything from Classical/Opera to EDM, trance & anything you can shake yer ass to.
Online friends have broadened the artists too making some great suggestions over the years.
Recently I've listened to some great covers & enjoy artists like Post Modern Jukebox & Boyce Avenue for their different takes on modern songs.
