Is it a new set up ? Most new pc monitors have no speakers in them you need to get seperate speakers most of the time . google the monitor model to check "
Some also need a separate cable from the pc too.
If not, check the sound settings - double click the speaker on the right of the toolbar next to the time |

When you right click on speaker icon and choose to go into playback devices, when there should be sound playing does the bars on right highlight as if it's playing? So mine just says speakers but i also have a tv hooked up. And I have some random device to do with my sound card. I take it you have the right one selected.
If you right click your selected device and choose properties ensure its enabled in general tab then go to advanced tab and hit the test button. Those simple steps are all I know to check on I'm afraid but they might be worth a try if you haven't covered them all already. |
