Mine for today, or at least this morning - a colleague moaning they won't get paid for the month because they didn't bother to put in a pay sheet before the deadline.
'But X always does it automatically and I just hand the sheet in whenever!' Not on my watch, mate. You want paid, put a sheet in. You're not a special snowflake.

I remember one time at a Business Managers course in Birmingham.The group where discussing coaching skills...Thees always that one idiot who stood up and said.."One of my staff came into my office and said ..He just won an order worth 5k at a 50% profit.' He replied "Thats great ..That will make up for all the feck ups youve done".
Nothing like boosting staff confidence ya diddy.

I hope you at least advised or reminded him to put his hours in with the consequences explained if he didn't?
I can imagine having to go a month without wages might be very difficult indeed! |

They will be paid this month, we have a backup, no issue there. Just a sharp reminder to get their sheet in on time in future! |
