MAY BIKE RUN 2011
Jump to: Newest in thread
well its that time of the year when most riders will be looking forward to getting out on the bikes again and going for runs after the winter.
due to egg run being on the 24th April and im sure a few will be going on it the run will be after that date so i was thinking some time at the beginning of May.
the weather will be dry and any new riders will have had time to get used to their bikes .
If anyone has not been on a FAB run then here is what to expect the distance will be about 150 miles (from start to finnish) with a break in the middle for lunch.and fuel for those with small tanks .
remember this is a social event . So any one with a motorbike is welcome to attend.
if anyone wants info on the route so far then you can email me or post here and i will send you the details . to give you some idea of the starting point it will be west of Glasgow for this one. with a meetup point half way for those from stirlingshire

thanx for route and now the times blackbird, will hopefully make it, aslong as the ferries from spain or france dont go on strike,,,,,,so is it a sedate run or do we get to go nuts now and then and have a blast along the roads |

so everyone can ride at their own pace and not be left behind the route is mixed. this gives slower or smaller bikes the same advantages as the big bore bikes
as normal there is a good mix of roads from fast straights to twisties. if any one with a small sports tank (17L) there are fuel stops every 35 miles so if they want they can go daft.
and this time we will not be going down farm traks as im leaving the twatnav at home |

"If only I wasnt so scared of bikes!
Was on 1 at 18, the first and last time."
bikes are not scarry its just the person at the front that makes folk scared. i have had folk say that they were scared of bikes then after i took them out for a run they get the bug and did their bike test |

After my last forum post on this subject its been advised that I post again, dont know if I should have taken legal council before posting.
Does anyone want to take me along for a ride?? On a bike, not the other kind of ride.
I need someone that is happy to take a someone that didnt have a great 1st experience on a bike, so someone that isnt going to go nuts and go vooooooming along the road, with a bike big enough for a fat arse.
Now isnt that an offer!!!! |

as most of you can tell the weather has changed
.at the moment the rain is patchy and light so the run is still on for sunday.
I know some folk dont like riding in the wet -something to do with grip and desiel
if the rain gets worse the run will be cancelled and i will post on the forum so remember to check on sunday morning.
if anyone has questions about the route or such just email me |
