Okay so first off apologies if this has been posted but today I've heard a few folks mention Swingfields and it got me curious.

Has anyone from here ever made the trip down? Conscious it's only been on for 3 years but was just wondering.

I'm not sure if it's something I'd ever be confident enough to do but I can certainly see the appeal!

Usual tabloid crap.

Its all neds and oldies doin drugs.

They should try doing something more positive, instead of picking holes in consenting adults having fun. Only in the uk

Haha I can assure you I don't read the sun but it might go some way to explaining why a few people in work were talking about it!

It's a festival for swingers with live music and hot tubs etc. You can camp or take a caravan etc. They only sell 10% of tickets to single men. It's been on the go now 3 years.

Apparently the way they vet you before selling tickets is making sure you have a validated profile on a swingers site -I don't know which one though

Well their way of validating members didn't work with journalists being able to splatter everyones faces all over the newspaper lol

A world of my own

It's sad that they even think it's news worthy with all that's happening in the world at the moment

I just read the sun article online -apparently there was 0 searches to reinforce the camera or drugs ban so the journo was able to walk around freely taking as many pics as she wanted

I've wanted to go for ages, but this has been the second year that the papers have been there and reported on it, so I will be giving it a miss

And from the lounge thread earlier they weren't blatantly taking photos so the shots had to have been taken with a hidden camera.

While I don't doubt there were drugs there the Sun does like to sensationalise.

The tone in which the article is written is very snide, like there's something wrong with us.

We actually attended the Swingfields festival at the weekend , sue is even visible in one of the suns photos , luckily from behind at some distance but some of our friends weren't as fortunate and they are clearly visible ..

As a whole the security was very good and anyone seen with photographic devices of any kind was approached immediately by staff , they also protected the perimeter constantly throughout the duration of the event .

Most of the photos, especially the Sun ones seem to be taken on a hidden camera , this is nearly impossible to stop with modern compact camera technology .

There was also a lot of mention of drugs at the festival and yes there was drugs present but as most people on this site are probably only to well aware , drug taking isn't that great an idea if your looking for good sex...there were probably less drugs than at an average music festival ..!

We had a fantastic time and will defiantly be attending again , 800 likeminded ,friendly couples socialising and networking at a festival with fantastic live music and a dance music tent , the after parties in the camping area were fantastic fun ..

Not forgetting that at all, I'm well aware of it. Luckily my friends are open minded and supportive of my chosen lifestyle.

What is your problem with Swingfields...

Please tell me how you are going to search a couple hundred cars, vans campers and there contents haha

And people freely walking around taking pictures... BULL s***

You were not there and you have never been,

S for the drugs reference,

I am pretty sure you have never been to a festival, as there will always be drugs at festivals! My friend attended Swingfields and was asking to get week and couldn't find a thing!

The sun can write whatever story they can imagine because people like you

Read it and people like you believe it!

Don't comment if you weren't there!
