It's the longest thing I mind of but do brides and grooms still lob handfuls of smash out of windows of their wedding car for weans to fight over in the gutter?

Think it's pretty rare now.

Haven't heard of anyone doing it recently anyway

think inflation killed it

kids just wouldn't fight over it now unless it was notes - and that just couldn't happen with our lovely scottish weather lol

i have just moved from a small village and its still tradition there kids get excitied when a wedding car pulls into village and you see them all running to follow cause they know whats coming x

Yes it still happens there was two weddings in my estate last year one did and one didnt guess its all personal choice now

tried once with washers but the bride didnt see the funny side, the kids faces were a picture all the same hehe

yes its still done here but not just the kids were scrambling in the gutter for the spoils.

its called a pooroot and it used to be the grooms job to lob out change for the local kids,,,

Thanks. It took me a while to work out 'pooroot' but when you get to 'pour out' it makes perfect sense.
