I'm not sure what to vote

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I know this topic has went on many, many times before and I don't want a heated argument about it, I just need a rough idea what its all about. I was talking to my auntie (she's a bit like me, doesn't know what its about or what the benefits are for both parties) could someone please, in layman terms tell me what the pros and cons are if we stay or leave?

Unfortunately just like the independence vote both sides are lying through their teeth, which makes it impossible to weigh up properly, the debate has come down to immigration and nothing else, quite sad really

Is it true, if I don't vote, they take that as a remain?

It's literally all over the news, television, printed media, social media, radio stations and likely a glut of information through your letterbox. And has been for months.

You should probably consult all that if you are unsure what to decide, before a swingers' forum...

Yeah, you're right. I should listen to the news and radio, not actually getting my question answered by real people... but that's what I'll do just now, just for you, okay?

Lol!

Because the first place I would seek information from 'real people' on a vastly serious political decision is a sex site forum, and not from the hulking great load of information that wasn't already at everyone's fingertips!!

enormously complex issues and some huge unknowns but at the end of the day... I look down those sides on debates and there's Boris Johnson, Ian Duncan Smith, Gove, Nigel Farage... saying that they are bringing down an elite and taking back power and I ask

which elite? and

bringing back power for who?

I think the forum is for asking anything you like whether sex related or not... swingers do have minds not just sexual parts and are very capable of giving a very informed opinion on many subjects as indeed the forum often shows.

I am undecided OP and think someone said up there that they were all lying through their teeth... I think that is the only truth you are going to get. However I do think there is another thread that has some excellent points on it but sorry can't remember what it's called.

Good luck sifting through the information.

As you said "I would seek" so that's your choice to do so as its her choice how she decides to get information

I am not a politician, nor am I into politics, but I want to do my part and vote.. I just don't want to make the wrong decision

Hence why I asked for layman's terms because lets face it, I'm thick as shit when it comes to this sort of stuff!

I don't think you're thick as shit lol - I think we'd all love a laymans guide but you're definitely right about voting - we should always do that

Whichever way you decide to vote there will be people who will say it was the wrong decision, and no matter how the vote goes we will all still be fucked over by arrogant power-hungry politicians, the wealthy elite and global corporations.

As the saying goes, if voting made a difference they wouldnt let us do it.

As far as information goes you could do worse than watch some of the fact check videos from channel 4 news.

I can definitely see why you think that... and wouldn't be surprised if you are right... I still think we need to vote though

I dont believe anything either side says ..both spin facts and figures to suit their argument ..for me im in the belief that at present The EU isnt doing what it was set up to do ..in my mind its broken and i dont see anything changing for the better anytime soon ..so the simple decision for me is ...more of the same or change .....i choose change ..so in they immortal words ...I'M OUT

Stay? Leave? It will make not one bit of a difference. Piggys with their noses in the trough will still eat drink and be merry while the average working person will continue to fund them!

I would say your right, it has mainly came down to immigration, but its no sad, immigration is a serious problem in this country and it seriously needs to stop, I know a lot of people blame immigrants for they're problems in this country and others but I personally have lost 3jobs in 2years to immigrants who will do it for less money, it's not like I'm lazy so easy to replace, every job I've had I've been told I work too hard and need to calm down.

I don't usually vote for anything but I'll vote for this and I'm voting out

I think a programme I watched on channel5 has persuaded my vote.

Romanian man working for the minimum wage, claiming housing benefit, working tax, child tax, child benefit. He is living here alone, family back in Romania and he was transferring all his benefits money over to the family.

Now the family weren't using it to live, food, bills etc....noooooooooooooo, they were renovating their house with the money How many more immigrants are doing this when the money can be spent elsewhere

Imagine that, a part of Richard Desmonds media empire showing a programme like this, its unheard of when you see their usual high brow output

Anyone would think channel 5 was controlled by a right wing anti EU xenophobe after showing that
