I wonder how clapping hands got started as a means of showing appreciation. Like, who decided, "I really like that. In order to show it, I'll just bang my hands together"
On the topic of clapping, why is stroking a dog called clapping the dog?
Any answers? Or any other little things that you've always wondered about?
