Eating the right foods and the right amount.
Try upping your protien intake. This will help a lot. Same with water. Stretching out sore areas will also help.
Your body will get use to the exercise. The pain will go away just got to push thru it x |

As has been said, your body will get used to it in time. When I started a more physical job last year, it took about 8 weeks until my body got used to it again. But it's worth it
Good luck and keep up the good work |

Yeah. It's called delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and is common to everyone who tries out a new exercise. Your body will get used to it in time. you'll soon start to like the feeling - from an acomplishment stand point knowing you've gave yourself a decent workout . You can reduce the effects of DOMS by redoing the same exercise again with lighter weight/body weight at home. Once you get blood pumping through those sore muscles - it'll alleviate the soreness temporarily. But the stiffness typically only lasts about 3-4 days anyway. |

"Been going to a PT for a few weeks and my muscles are killing me lol!
Any gym goers any advice on what can help with aching muscles? X"
Not a gym goer but I know about sore muscles lol Make sure you stretch well before and after your workout. And avoid a hot shower after, make it as cool as you can handle. Then, Arnica cream is great to help after a session. You can get it at Boots .
Good luck x |

Nothing worse than after leg days simple tasks like walking down stairs or sitting on a toilet seat seem impossible
Haha |

Water drink plenty of it
Listen to the PT he is after all the "trained" expert too many keyboard trainers
There is a reason why you rest a muscle group after exercise
But yes it will stiffen up for a day or two after.
In a month or so you will see and feel a big difference and start to enjoy rather than see it as a chore
Best of luck |
