The big question though is just what is Thomson's game? This will surely bring things to a head which can only be for the good in the long term.

I hope Thompson kept the ticket money in a rainy day account when he failed to reimburse thousands of travelling Rangers fans when the game between the two clubs was abandoned in 2009 due to a water-logged pitch.

I think I must be one of the few Gers fans who actually wanted us to go down and start again. We didn't deserve to keep our place in the SPL and all the other clubs were more than justified telling Doncaster to get tae. We are back now and we did it with no favours from anyone. Having said that delighted United are going down and its got hee haw to do with them not wanting us shoehorned into the SPL its because the club as a whole has always treated my club with contempt and like a meal ticket. I hope they enjoy the Championship
