since it started, I watch all the previous series just before the new one starts, I'm on episode 8 of the 5th series so should be ready to watch it in a couple of days  |

I had never watched it till I got the first season on DVD. I ended up watching all the episodes the same night. Then went to asda to buy the rest. All watched in a week lol
Will john snow come back to life tonight? |

My son just blew my mind... John Snow is NOT Ned Starks son but is the child of his sister and a Targaerean... hence why he protected John and why he will be brought back from death... so many theories... so many questions... why is it not Monday yet  |

PLEASE NOTE POTENTIAL SPOILERS DUE TO SPECULATION AHEAD SO DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU ARE UP TO DATE WITH EPISODES AND YOU WANT TO SPECULATE ON FUTURE EVENTS.
There are many hints that Jon Snow will be back. For one they still haven't buried or burnt his body so something can actually be done with it. Also there are many hints that he has upcoming battles. Remember how he locked eyes with one of the Whitewalker kings in last season? What is the point of that unless they are due to meet again in combat in the future.
The most important piece of speculation is the following.
R+L=J
So according to geek theory Jon Snow is actually the son of Ned Stark's sister Lyanna and Raegar Targaeryan. Ned stark only refers to him as his blood not his son. As his sister died when the Targaeryans were deposed he saved Jon from being slaughtered by presenting him as a bastard. Therfore he is rightful heir to the throne, even more than Danaerys (Khaleesi). As a Targaryan be may also have Danaerys gift of being immune to fire. However Ned did not reveal this as by exposing Jon as Targaeryan he would have surely been slaughtered by one of the rival families.
We also know that the priests of the Lord of Light can resurrect the dead. Remember the male version of Melissandre (the red priestess) who resurrected that warrior in the cave with Arya Stark present? The only problem with the resurrected was that he was not the same as his soul had degraded.
So we think Jon Snow might be the rightful heir, there are hints that he has upcoming battles with Whitewalker and we also know that Melissandre has the power to resurrect him. How could his soul be saved. Well according to the books all the Stark children have the potential to 'warg' (transfer their mind to another body of either animal or human and control them). Remember paralysed Bran who had to fall off a building and almost die before his power was unleashed? Also remember that wildling who warged into an eagle in the last season during a battle? Apparently in the books he recognises Jon Snow as a warg. Melissandre also sees Jon Snow in the flames of a prophecy and says that ' first he is man, then Wolf, then Man again'. So it's a possibility that the trauma of being betrayed led him to warg his soul into his direwolf Ghost, only to warg back into his body once he is resurrected.
So there you have it. The Geek theory of Jon Snow returning to take his rightful place as King and defeat the Whitewalkers.
It's all based on speculation but I feel there is a good chance it could happen |
